Women Helping Women

The OneKC for Women alliance partners provide services to create financial growth and independence. By coming together as OneKC for Women, key programs and services are integrated, providing women all over the metropolitan area the resources needed to advance their financial success.

Additionally, OneKC for Women is connected to an extensive range of organizations, networks and resources throughout the region that provide excellent opportunities for personal and professional growth. Our alliance refers women to other organizations when appropriate. By coming to OneKC for Women, each individual can find the unique assistance to fit her situation.

Women's Employment Network

Women's Employment NetworkWEN is a nonprofit organization that offers job-search training and resources, individualized coaching and professional case management. We also provide a shoulder to lean on, day-care advice, professional wardrobes, transportation assistance and fresh starts. We specialize in turning dreams into reality, heartbreak into hope, despair into determination. At WEN, women work together to find new jobs and new lives. Learn more >

Women's Business Center

Women's Business CenterThe mission of the Women’s Business Center is to develop, counsel and mentor women in all stages of business development and growth. We do this through classes, seminars, peer roundtables, one-on-one consultation, networking, and referrals. We also educate women entrepreneurs on sources of funding that include micro-loans and angel funding through the Women’s Capital Connection. Learn more >

Women's Capital Connection

Women's Capital ConnectionWCC officially launched in January 2008 with 33 founding investors committed to investing in women-led ventures in the Midwest region. Since 2008, 74 women investors have been involved in supporting angel investing. 177 women-led ventures have inquired about angel funding, with 40 companies moving forward for investor presentations. To date, seven companies have received funding with over $1.4 million contributed to the region. Learn more >
